Tylen-Ale Campaign

Description

The Tylen-Ale project was the culmination of my winter semester in 2021, where my partner Evan Hansen and I were tasked with creating a collaboration beer between two brands. We were fortunate to be given Tylenol as one of our brands, which gave us an easy gimmick for our beer - no hangovers even if you drink as much as you want. Our other brand for the collaboration was Fosters Lager beer.

Throughout the semester, we worked on developing the concept, designing the labels, and creating an ad to promote our beer.

The Plan

As this was our final project for all classes, there was a great deal of planning involved. We had to create and design logos, packaging, and labels, as well as write and direct a complete commercial, create a style guide, and, most significantly, build an entire website for the collaboration beer. Our initial focus was on designing the logos and labels since everything else depended on these.

Once we had those, we could then move on to creating the style guide, packaging, script for the commercial, and beginning work on the website.

Software

To complete this project, I utilized a range of software programs that were essential for creating a cohesive final product. To design the labels and packaging, I relied on Adobe Photoshop, while Adobe Illustrator was instrumental in creating the logos and other design elements. For the style guide, I used Adobe InDesign, and Adobe XD was my tool of choice for designing the website. The motion graphics were created using Cinema 4D, with the renders later taken into Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for editing and post-production.
